Gardens of Hope is currently booking classes, workshops, sessions, retreats, and more activities to bring therapeutic horticulture and education to our community. We recently discussed the therapeutic value of community.
I know that as we get older, sometimes social circles wither away. I can't even believe that I'm over 55 years old and technically a senior, but I have watched so many people move on one way or another, and it's less and less common to invite someone over as a friend. Recently, several acquaintances shared their hope to see a social club form at the Gardens of Hope, and it just seemed so natural.
We decided to create one! Here's what we have so far.
55 years old to qualify
Meetings are scheduled every 2nd Sunday of the month.
Meetings are two hours
All Veterans are eligible to attend for free with proof of service
All donations (dues) will be used exclusively for "garden club"
It's our canvas to paint, and we have a beautiful sanctuary to use. We can make any changes that we see fit, so please consider this my invitation.
